This past weekend I worked with @downtownpdx to highlight some amazing summer drinks around downtown Portland. We wanted to provide options for everyone, so on this list you’ll see beer, iced matcha, fresh pressed juice, boozy milkshakes and high-end “mocktails” all within less than a quarter mile of one another. Stop in, sip and enjoy !
Happy Hour Beer

This downtown beer taproom has the digital tap screens that allows you to easily scope out your options. From local beers to nationwide favorites there is something here for all that enjoy a cold brew. Head down there for Happy Hour and you can score a drink for as little as $4.00
Iced Matcha Latte

The new downtown Heart location boasts a beautiful new space and amazing coffee. Their iced matcha latte is a shining star and provides a refreshing summer drink that satisfies those who aren’t craving coffee or alcohol. Offering almond walnut milk for $1.50 more, it’s a great option for those that are lactose sensitive.
Boozy Milkshake

If you know of Tasty and Alder you’ll know that their menu is full of shining stars. Right now you can get three different boozy milkshakes that are the perfect summer drink. They serve it in this jug along with smaller glasses, so we found it perfect to share amongst the table.
Fresh Pressed Juice

I love making a stop into Kure when I want something fresh and healthy. When it’s hot in the summertime I love the pick-me-up of fresh juice as it cools me down and also gives me more energy.
“Mocktails” With a View

Departure may be known for the food, cocktails and killer views but now you can add “mocktails” as one of their specialities. With a section of the menu titled “Zero Proof” there is a list of drinks shaken up like a cocktail but without the alcohol. I loved this idea as it’s great for those who want to enjoy the social aspect of being at a bar or lounge but want to abstain from the alcohol. Plus they tasted great and refreshing.
